JAEGER-LECOULTRE REVERSO GEOGRAPHIQUE 18K ROSE

I remember when the Reverso Geographique was introduced in a limited edition of 500 watches in 2002. The first time I had the chance to examine it, in an authorized JLC dealer in Europe, I was impressed. When you think just how complicated the movement needs to be to accomplish a dial-up multi timezone watch, with a dial and hands and different complications on each side of the Reverso case, and then you consider the size of the case and that it’s rectangular… well, it should give you a newfound appreciation for the watchmakers at JLC.

The 18k rose gold case (including the brancard) measures 42.3mm long from lug tip to lug tip, by 26.7mm wide by 15.3mm thick. Both sides of the case have a sapphire crystal. The push button advances the hour hand on the black dial side in one hour increments to set the local time. The silver dial reflects home time along with a beautifully rendered “Night and Day” display.

Movement is the manually winding Jaeger LeCoultre Caliber 858, with power reserve of 45 hours, adjusted in five positions and beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The watch is never polished and in 99% new condition. Watch is on its original crocodile JLC strap with 18k rose gold JLC deployant clasp. The watch is complete with original box and papers.

This Reverso is an important and collectable wristwatch.
