Description
Jaeger LeCoultre introduced the Master 1000 Hours collection in the late 1990s. For a company which had come to be known almost exclusively for their Reverso models, the Master series with their round cases were welcomed by collectors and non collectors alike. They are elegant watches which feature complications which are well integrated into the dials. The movement in every Master 1000 Hours watch has been tested for 1000 hours by Jaeger's watchmakers, for accuracy and heat/cold resistance.
This watch is the Master Geographic, which features a window at the bottom of the dial for displaying reference cities. The time corresponding to the reference city is indicated in the subdial at 6 o'clock. Using the crown at 10 o'clock, the reference cities can be advanced forward and backward, and the time adjusts accordingly. This is a very useful complication.
The dial is matte silver, with golden dauphine hands, which Jaeger has rendered in such a way as to maximize legibility. The dial also features a power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock and a date subdial at 2 o'clock.
Case is polished 18k rose gold, with dimensions of 38mm diameter by 10.3mm thick. Sapphire crystal. Water resistant to 50 meters (making it perfect for daily wear).
Movement is the in-house automatic winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 929-3, built from JLC's workhorse Caliber 889-1. Jaeger makes such nice movements, that several elite brands use them in their own watches, under different names.
Strap is new black JLC crocodile with 18k rose gold JLC deployant clasp.
Watch is in new condition and will be delivered with full set of original Jaeger LeCoultre box and papers.
