Description
This watch is the only vintage lady’s Calatrava we have ever seen in platinum. The reference 1289 was produced from 1952 through 1960. You could literally wait a whole collecting career and not even learn of such a watch’s existence, much less have the opportunity to own such a rare watch.
Original case is 20mm in diameter and is hallmarked platinum. Acrylic crystal. Case back is engraved “Mae Southworth Knudsen Award 1958”. Not only is this the only vintage lady’s Calatrava known to exist in platinum, I believe the reference 1289 is also the smallest diameter wristwatch Patek ever made.
Original silvered dial with applied hour markers, embossed minutes chapter and original baton hands.
Original Patek Philippe manual winding 18 jewel movement adjusted for temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is running fine.
Watch is in mint original condition.
