Lange & Sohne keeps making masterpiece after masterpiece. The Lange 1 Timezone stands among the finest that Lange has to offer, which is to say it's one of the nicest watches in the world.
This watch is solid platinum. Platinum has the most pleasing heft. Dimensions of this watch are 41.9mm diameter by 11mm thick. Sapphire crystals front and back. The fit and finish of this watch is the nicest in the watch business.
The movement is aesthetically amazing -- assembled, polished and finished entirely by hand -- it's the Lange Caliber L 031.1 manual winding with 54 jewels and two spring barrels. The balance cock in each Lange movement is hand engraved, rendering each one a unique masterpiece.
Functions are two separate 12 hour time indications, both of which also display day / night for their respective timezones; power reserve, and oversize date. Dial is silver with applied hour markers, white gold hands, white gold framed oversized date window, and a world time chapter that rotates in one hour increments. Definitely one of the best looking dials ever from any manufacturer.
