Description
We believe that this is the only double sealed new Patek Philippe Jumbo Nautilus reference 3710/1A in the world. This is a fantastic opportunity for a serious Patek Philippe collector, or any discerning person who prefers a new watch and has always wanted a Jumbo Nautilus with power reserve.
The Nautilus Jumbo is a discreet watch, in that it is very flat and has a black dial. To the uninitiated, it just looks like a nice watch. But to a trained eye, examining it up close, the explanation for why this is one of watchdom's legends becomes crystal clear. No detail was left to chance when the watch was designed, and at least as importantly when the watch was built. From the bracelet links, which are alternately brushed and polished, to the clasp, to the watch itself, and to the dial and the unique power reserve display, let's just say that 2+2 can equal 6. If the parts of this watch are perfect (and they are), then the sum of the parts is sublime.
The case is where this watch excels. It's one of the original Genta designs, and as many designs as Genta did, and as many imitators as there are to this original design, no one has executed a watch case like this before or since the Nautilus. Once again, the stainless steel is alternates between brushed polished finishes, and the effect of this, contrasted with the dial, is exceptional. Case is very thin at 8mm thick, and 38mm square. Water resistant to 120 meters. The bezel shape deserves special mention too: an oblong octagon.
Dial is black, with white gold roman hour numerals, a minutes chapter, hands with luminous, and that famous power reserve meter which functions with the little indicator hand chasing the comet-like piece around in an arc.
Movement is the automatic Patek Philippe Caliber 330 SC; 30 jewels; power reserve of +/- 40 hours; Geneva Seal.
