Here is a like new and complete original first edition A. Lange & Sohne 1815 in 18k gold with the desirable blued hands. Every Lange & Sohne watch features a hand engraved balance cock, making each watch a unique piece. Lange discontinued this 1815, which is a shame because it’s their nicest looking uncomplicated watch.
Case is solid 18k gold with dimensions of 36mm diameter by 7.5mm thick. Sapphire crystals front and in the display back. The bezel and lugs are polished while the case sides of the mid-body are brush finished. The case of an A. Lange & Sohne watch is always understated, but features the best fit and finish in the business.
Dial is a solid pane of silver, with a refined matte finish, with black arabic numerals and minutes chapter, subsidiary seconds dial and blued lance style hands.
Movement is the manual winding A. Lange & Sohne Caliber L 941.1 with 21 jewels, 4 screw mounted gold chatons, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve of 45 hours and goose-neck fine adjustment. I already mentioned the hand engraved balance cock, which is literally a work of art. The movement also displays the famous Glashutte three quarters plate. The movement is finished, assembled and decorated by hand. All A. Lange & Sohne movements are elite and beautiful things!
Strap is brown A. Lange & Sohne crocodile with 18k Lange tang buckle.
Watch is in mint+ condition and is complete with original box and papers.
