Description
The Pasha came into existence when Louis Cartier’s friend, who was a swimmer, asked about getting a watch he would swim with. Cartier reflected on the problem, and designed the Pasha, which is renowned for its crown with cap and chain system. The crown that you can see is really a cap with a sapphire cabochon, attached to a chain link and an anchor, which protects the smaller crown underneath.
Case is stainless steel with dimensions of 38mm diameter by 10.7mm thick. The bezel is a uni-directional diver’s count up timing bezel. The crystal is sapphire. The crown and round pump style chronograph pushers have a blue sapphire cabochon. The case sides are brush finished, while the bezel is mirror polished. Case back is solid steel.
Dial is silver with guilloche and printed roman numerals. Hands are blued and filled with luminous and there is a date window at 6 o’clock. The subdials are sunken, for a very nice effect. The 9 o’clock subdial is the chronograph’s 30 minute totalizer. The 3 o’clock subdial is the 12 hour totalizer. The running seconds are at 6 o’clock.
Movement is premium quality Cartier quartz for accurate and trouble free timekeeping. Bracelet is steel with brush finished outer links and polished inner links and double folding deployant clasp. Bracelet will fit up to an 8.25 inch wrist.
