Description
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Polaris limited edition chronograph and regatta timer is one heck of a nice watch. AP made 1300 watches to celebrate the 2003 America's Cup entrant Alinghi, and the captain of the boat wore a Polaris during the race. This is a large watch to begin with at 44mm diameter, and it wears even larger. With the red touches on the dial and the sporty (and completely water resistant) rubber strap, this is a great watch to own and enjoy.
Case is stainless steel with dimensions of 44mm diameter by 14.6mm thick. Water resistant to 100 meters. Sapphire crystal. Octagonal polished and brushed bezel and exposed white gold screws. Rubber strap with AP deployant clasp. Specially engraved caseback.
Dial is black with luminous arabic numbers and hands. Chronograph features 30 minute and 12 hour totalizer subdials. There is also the red hand which is a regatta count down timer and internal bezel with compass points.
Movement is the automatic winding Audemars Piguet Caliber 2326 with 50 jewels.
Watch is new with the exception of a few small surface scratches in one edge of the bezel only. Watch will be delivered with special collector's box and all booklets/papers.
