Description
Omega packed all of their modern technology into this decidedly vintage looking Speedmaster. They also chose to use a solid 18k rose gold bezel and rose gold chronograph pushers as accents to the brown dial. This watch is fantastic looking and very rare. Only 1,957 watches were made. Offered at the Omega Boutique only, this watch is new and complete with box and Omega cards.
As some may know, the “Broad Arrow” hands were the first hands used on the Speedmaster, which were soon abandoned in favor of the baton style hands used for decades since. The Broad Arrow hands on this watch are rose gold with luminous inlaid. The deep rich brown color dial also features applied rose gold hour markers and subdials traced with rose gold. The subdials provide constant seconds, along with chronograph 30 minute and 12 hour totalizers. Subdial hands are rose gold. Date is provided at 6 o’clock. Dial is signed “OMEGA Speedmaster 1957” with the ‘1957’ in red.
Case is a generously sized 42mm diameter by 13.9mm thick. Crystal is domed sapphire. Case back has a sapphire display crystal. The solid 18k rose gold bezel has a brown top with gold Tachymetre scale. Rose gold Omega signed crown and rose gold chronograph pushers. Case back is engraved with “OMEGA BROADARROW CO-AXIAL 100m/330ft”. The steel lugs have that distinctive twisted shape.
Movement is the in-house Omega Caliber 3133 with automatic winding and Co-Axial escapement. This movement provides 52 hour power reserve and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Strap is a super nice brown with exposed white stitching hand-sewn Omega crocodile with steel Omega deployment clasp.
