Description
Here is a very clean vintage Rolex Explorer II, the first Explorer II actually, with its characteristic (and great looking!) orange 24 hour hand. This is from the later production of 1655s and its white luminous and hands have just a hint of patina.
Original stainless steel case features the 1655’s brush finished bezel with 24 hour scale, against which the orange hands displays 24 hour time. The bezel, like the case, is in mint to mint+ condition. Screw down crown operates perfectly. Lugs are fat with full metal. Crystal is acrylic. Dimensions are 39mm diameter by 13.5mm thick.
Original untouched black dial is in perfect condition, as are the original hands. As I mentioned, the luminous hour markers and the luminous in the hands are just starting to show patina and look absolutely fantastic. Date window at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex Oyster heavy link bracelet with 13 links, which will fit up to an 8 inch wrist, in mint+ condition.
