Description
This special limited edition IWC Mark XV Spitfire watch was only made in 1000 pieces. Finding one with the original box and unworn Cashmere SPITFIRE scarf is impossible. The scarf is so nice, in fact, it’s like buying the scarf and getting the watch for free!
Steel case features IWC’s high level of fit and finish, with all brushed surfaces except for the top of the bezel and the ring around the case back. Screw down crown, sapphire crystal and special SPITFIRE airplane motif in relief on case back. There is a small ding at 10 o’clock on the polished surface of the bezel. Apart from that the case is in like new condition.
Dial is black with highly luminous Arabic numerals and cathedral hands. The stylized numerals and hands on the Spitfire are different from the much more somber numerals and baton hands on the regular production Mark XV. Dial is signed SPITFIRE. The end of the seconds hand is also luminous and this watch provides perfect legibility in the daytime or in total darkness.
Movement is the automatic winding IWC Caliber C37524 with 21 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and with 42 hour power reserve. Movement is anti-magnetic. IWC over-engineers their movements, so this is a top quality movement.
Strap is special brown calf leather IWC strap original to this limited edition timepiece with steel IWC tang buckle.
Watch will be delivered with original collector’s boxes, unworn Cashmerel scarf and IWC polishing cloth.
