Description
This is a cool vintage watch with an interesting story. First of all, Girard Perregaux is one of Switzerland’s elite watch manufacturers. They make stylistically interesting and horologically bonafide timepieces without compromises. This Gyromatic is one of their famous vintage models.
This particular watch is engraved on the back: WITH THANKS FROM JACK WYATT CONFESSION 1957. Confession was a fascinating television show from the late 1950s and Jack Wyatt was a very interesting guy who sadly passed away in 2008. For more information, follow the link:

Original steel case is 30mm square by 10.5mm thick. Entire case retains its original mirror polish and we believe the finish is factory original. There are numerous beveled edges, long lugs, 1950s original ‘GP’ crown and square crystal. Case back bears the inscription noted above.
Original dial is silver with applied hour markers, with double marker at 12 o’clock, and original slender dauphine hands including sweep seconds hand. There are a few scratches on the dial but it is otherwise mint.
Original movement is the automatic winding Girard Perregaux “Gyro-trons” Caliber with 17 jewels and special shock protection and power transmission system. Movement is running fine and keeping time.
Strap is reddish brown Camille Fournet crocodile with steel buckle.
