Description
The Day Date is Rolex’s top of the line watch. Displaying the day of the week below 12 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock, this model also became known as the President because the watch was worn by numerous American Presidents.
Produced only in 18k gold and in platinum, the Day Date over the years has had some very interesting dials. Our favorite dial is the so called Stella dial, which is usually a vivid color with abundant lacquer over it. Stella dials are rare, and we are pleased to present this watch with orange stella dial.
Original 18k gold case features sapphire crystal, solid gold fluted bezel, original 18k screw down crown operating perfectly and massive 18k screw back. Case is in near mint, full metal condition with 36mm diameter and 12.4mm thick.
Original untouched orange Stella dial with applied golden baton hour markers and baton hands. There are some hairline cracks in the lacquer near a few of the hour markers, but the dial is otherwise perfect.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3055 with 27 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. Movement is in perfect condition and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Strap is new very light tan leather with gold plated Rolex buckle.
