Description
Here is a true rarity, a solid 18k gold Tudor Prince Oyster Date from circa 1967. That was back in the era when Tudor watches were really Rolex watches with an ETA movement. Accordingly, this watch is signed “ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA” and with Rolex coronet on the watch’s solid gold crown.
Original solid 18k gold case measures 34mm diameter by 10mm thick. Domed acrylic crystal. Original solid 18k fluted bezel in great, clean condition. Case shows wear, but the lugs are full and the case may be unpolished.
Original untouched blue dial with applied golden hour markers and original golden baton hands and date at 3 o’clock. Dial is signed Tudor Prince Oysterdate Rotor Self Winding.
Original automatic winding Tudor signed caliber with 25 jewels and with rotor signed TUDOR AUTO-PRINCE. Movement is clean, shiny and running.
Watch will be delivered on new custom rustic leather strap with genuine vintage gold plated Rolex buckle.
I have to say that this watch has outsized charm and is a true rarity in the collectible Tudor Rolex marketplace.
