What can I say, except that this is the first, best and in my opinion nicest dive watch ever made? In fact, while other manufacturers, over the years, have come up with legion imitations of the Rolex Submariner, have tried both useful and useless innovations, tried to bring the dive watch more upmarket or make it more affordable, the fact is that the Rolex Submariner is still the most popular and the best of all dive watches. In addition to that, if you had to choose just one watch for the rest of your life, this would be the watch to choose.
This watch ups the ante by being DLC coated black. This is a very hip look and flatters the Submariner particularly nicely.
Black DLC stainless steel case measures 40mm diameter. Sapphire crystal. Screw down crown. Diver’s count up timing bezel. Water resistant to 1000 feet/ 300 meters. Bracelet is all blackened stainless steel Rolex Oyster with 11 links and flip-lock clasp.
Dial is glossy black with applied luminous hour markers and hands. Date display at 3 o'clock.
Movement is the Rolex automatic winding Caliber 3135 with 31 jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified chronometer.
