Description
de Grisogono is a jeweler to the stars. When they introduced their watches a few years ago, they instantly became the must have timepiece. This Instrumento No Uno features an oversized square 18k rose gold case which fits into a brancard, also 18k rose gold, which gives the watch an overall rectangular shape.
Case is a massive 55.6mm long by 33mm wide by 10.9mm thick. Weight is a very healthy 6.5 ounces (185 grams). Crown has onyx cabochon. Front and display back crystals are sapphire.
Dial is black with applied rose gold arabic numerals and hour markers and gorgeous dauphine hands. The bottom dial can be set to a timezone independent of the main dial and hands on top. Oversized date display at 7 o’clock.
Long time readers know that I believe that rose gold cases with black dials are the most aesthetically pleasing combination in the watch world.
Movement is an automatic winding ETA caliber 2000 that de Grisogono blackens and customizes the winding rotor, which is signed INSTRUMENTO No UNO.
Strap is new black de Grisogono crocodile with 18k rose gold double folding deployant clasp.
