Description
Cartier makes iconic watches. It’s that simple. This Tank Americaine chronograph in solid 18k white gold on solid 18k white gold bracelet is a luxury item, an indulgence and a heck of a watch.
Rectangular white gold case measures 45mm long by 26.7mm wide by 8.1mm thick. Crown features Cartier’s classic sapphire cabochon. Rectangular shaped chronograph pushers. Sapphire crystal. The top and side surfaces of the case are mirror polished while the case back is brush finished.
Dial is silver white with black roman numerals, chronograph 30 minute and 12 hour totalizers and a date display. The hands are blued to excellent effect.
Movement is the Cartier Caliber 212, which is quartz for accurate and trouble free timekeeping. Movement features Chrono Reflex technology, where a twist of the crown sends the time advancing or retreating by exactly one hour.
Bracelet is very substantial, features both a brushed and polished finish, and is full-length and will fit up to an 8 inch wrist.
Watch is 99% new. US Retail was well over $25,000 when this model was discontinued a few years ago.
