Description
Eric Tabarly is a famous yacht racer. In both 1964 and 1976, he won a trans-Atlantic solo boat race. Tragically, in 1998 he was lost overboard his boat and perished. This cool and unusual Breitling has engraved on the case back “DESIGNED AND TESTED WITH ERIC TABARLY”.

The watch itself is stainless steel and 18k gold. The bezel is solid gold and revolves with a healthy click and has exposed screws for grip. Crown is also solid gold, signed with the Brietling B. Case is 40.6mm long by 35.6mm wide by 9.2mm thick. Crystal is sapphire.

Bracelet is both steel and gold and looks just like a Royal Oak bracelet. The best part is that there is a small watch mounted in the large double link below the 6 o’clock case side, which is meant to be used to monitor a second timezone.

Dial is white with Arabic numerals, black baton hands and a gold-framed date window at 3 o’clock. There is a gold Breitling B etched onto the crystal with a gold line extending in the cardinal directions from the B.

Very cool and unusual vintage Breitling.
