Description
You definitely do not see one of these very often… an original 1971 Omega Deville automatic “unicoc”. Unicoc or Monocoque means that the case is one piece, which stylistically was introduced to watchmaking in the 1970s and there are only a small handful of watches made this way. This is a large case for the early 1970s at 40.5mm diameter.

Original stainless steel case is on right on the edge of being round or oval; it’s hard to say. No lugs construction. Case still has its original 1971 finish – brush finished on top, polished on the sides and brushed again on the back. Case back has some dings. Case back has three surfaces. 40.5mm diameter by 10mm thick. Domed acrylic crystal. Case back is engraved WATERPROOF TOOL 104.

Grey original dial with applied white gold hour markers at 12 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock. Date window framed in white gold at 3 o’clock. Original baton hands.

Original automatic winding Omega Caliber 1002 which is copper color with 20 jewels and is running.

New custom cream suede strap with generic buckle.

This is a unique, all-original and collectable vintage Omega.
