Description
The Thunderbird Datejust, meaning the bezel is an engine-turned count-up timing bezel that rotates, is the most collectable vintage Datejust. This 14k ROSE gold and stainless steel watch is in mint original condition with original everything including the rose gold and stainless steel Jubilee bracelet. The original 14k rose gold bezel is in mint condition and has crisp serrations and numerals in relief.
Finding a Thunderbird with rose gold bezel and bracelet center links is extremely unusual.
Case measures 35.5mm in diameter by 11.2mm thick. Screw down crown operates perfectly. Bezel turns as it should. Clean original acrylic crystal.
Silver pie pan dial has applied golden hour markers, what appear to be Rolex replacement golden baton hands, and date display at 3 o’clock. Dial is in good condition.
Automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 movement with 26 jewels and adjusted to five positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is clean and running.
Rolex Jubilee bracelet in steel and 14k rose gold is very clean with moderate stretch.
