Description
Here is a really nice vintage Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller with rare Mark 3 dial. Take a look at the faded original “ghost” bezel insert. Take a look at the case which is minimally if ever polished and retains its sharp factory bevels. This watch presents as vintage, which is awesome because it is vintage and beautiful.
Original stainless steel case measures 40mm diameter by 16.5mm thick. Crystal is domed acrylic. The original TripLock crown screws down smoothly and operates perfectly. The original faded to grey bezel turns with the proper amount of resistance and has sharp undiminished serrations. The case is very clean and mint and either polished once or is never polished.
Serial number 3523XXX dates production to 1972. Inside case back has the last three digits of the watch’s serial number engraved by Rolex along with the ‘1665’ model number.
The 100% original and untouched black dial has beautiful matching patina across the hour markers and original hands. This is a Mark III dial, which is rare. Dial is in mint perfect condition with no flaws.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is immaculate and running.
Bracelet is Rolex Oyster 93150 with flip-lock clasp, in near mint condition and with 12 links.
