Description
Here is a "white out" Steve McQueen Explorer II, so-called because the usually orange 24 hour hand is white, which is unusual and striking looking. This watch has its original box and papers. Case and dial and movement are all mint condition, and this watch is entirely original in every way. It’s a great collector’s piece.
Original stainless steel case has acrylic crystal, Rolex screw down crown (operating well), original 24 hour bezel and measures 38mm diameter by 13.6mm thick. Lugs are fat and even and the case condition is between near mint and mint. Serial number 8096XXX place this watch late in 1655 production, from 1984.
Original black dial with the 1655’s unique minutes/seconds chapter, date at 3 o’clock (silver date wheel) and, of course, the great original hands including the white 24 hour hand. Dial and hands are in mint condition.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex Oyster heavy link 93150 bracelet with 12 links and in near mint condition.
This special Explorer II will be delivered with original punched papers and Rolex brochure and box. Very cool and very collectable!
