Description
Here is as nice of a vintage Submariner as you will ever find. It's got everything a collector desires: early steel case signed Rolex on the case back and Trip lock crown, with pointed crown guards, original tropical ghost bezel, tropical gilt dial with chapter ring and automatic movement with Tudor specifications. Yikes, we shouldn't even be selling this one!
Original stainless steel case with domed plastic crystal, original bezel with faded to grey original insert, Rolex signed Triplock crown, Rolex signed case back and with dimensions of 40mm diameter by 14.5mm thick. Serial # 409XXX dates production to 1963 and inside case back has date code of II.63.
Original untouched black gilt Tudor rose dial with chapter ring. The color is just turning lighter suggesting the emerging brown tropical color that sends collectors to the moon! Original hands.
Original automatic winding Tudor signed movement with 17 jewels. Movement is clean and running.
Watch is on new rustic leather strap with steel Rolex buckle.
