Here is a watch you won’t find every lifetime! A platinum Vacheron Constantin Calatrava reference 4217 in unpolished condition from circa 1961.
The case has the pleasing heft that only platinum can deliver! Unpolished platinum case features alternating original mirror polished and brush finished surfaces. Domed acrylic crystal. Original crown operating perfectly. Case is 36mm diameter by 43.8mm long by 10.7 thick.
Inside case back shows reference 4217 along with case number, hallmarks and the flag of Japan.
Orignal untouched silver dial with applied white gold indices and original white gold baton hands.
Vacheron Constantin in-house manual winding Caliber 454 with 18 jewels, swan neck balance adjustment, and adjusted to heat, cold, temperature and in five positions. Movement is clean and running.
Watch is on new leather strap with generic buckle.
