Description
Here is a beautiful Rolex Cosmograph with great looking untouched original black dial with contrasting silver subdials.
Original stainless steel case measures 36mm diameter by 14mm thick. Plastic crystal. Screw down crown is original and operating perfectly. Round pump-style chronograph pushers are also operating crisply and the chronograph hands all reset accurately to their zero positions. Bezel edge is sharp.
Serial number 1958XXX dates production of this watch to 1968. Inside case back is stamped ‘6239’ and shows an extensive service history which shows that the preceding owner took great care of this watch.
Original black dial is untouched, with contrasting silver subdials, and original hands. The silver printing on the dial looks fantastic, and the DAYTONA arching over the lower subdial is typical of the later production 6239s.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 722-1 with 17 jewels and column wheel construction. The movement is in clean, running condition.
Bracelet is the original folded Rolex Oyster in mint condition.
