Most Rolex collectors know about many of the Rolex made special dials for various governments, Domino’s Pizza amongst others. This LEVI’S YOUTHWEAR has to among the rarest of all. A famous watch blog called this the rarest of all special Rolex dials. We were certainly excited to find this watch!
Rolex collectors know all about so-called “transitional” Submariners and GMTs and other sports models… but not so much the transitional Datejust. Plastic crystals and quickset dates rarely occur in the same watch, as they do in this 16030.
Original stainless steel case has steel fluted bezel, plastic crystal, screw-down crown operating perfectly, and dimensions of 36mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Serial number 8921XXX dates watch to 1985.
Original silver dial with LEVI’S YOUTHWEAR logo, applied hour markers and original hands, and date at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3035 with 27 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. This C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer movement is clean and running.
Original Rolex Jubilee bracelet in stainless steel with very light stretch.
Watch is in mint condition.
