Description
Here is as nice of a vintage Submariner as you will ever find. It’s got everything a collector desires: early steel case signed Rolex on the case back and crown and tropical gilt dial with chapter ring and automatic movement with Tudor specifications.
Original stainless steel case with domed plastic crystal, original bezel with faded insert, Rolex signed crown, Rolex signed case back and with dimensions of 40mm diameter by 14.7mm thick. Serial # 305XXX dates production to 1959 and inside case back has date code of IV.59.
Original untouched brown gilt Tudor rose dial with chapter ring. These dials, which started out as black but have faded over time to a deep brown, are called “Tropical” by collectors.
Original automatic winding Tudor signed movement with 17 jewels. Movement is clean and running.
Watch is on new brown canvas Italian strap with leather lining and steel Rolex buckle.
