Description
These 1970’s Tudor Oysterdate chronographs, known as Monte Carlo chronographs, are some of Rolex best designs. Yes, the watches are branded as Tudor, but everyone knows that Rolex made them. In fact, the cases are signed Rolex, the original Oyster bracelet is a Rolex and the crown is original and is a Rolex Triplock crown. Try to find a 1970’s Daytona for anything close to this price… impossible! Plus, this awesome vintage Tudor Monte Carlo has its original box and papers.
Stainless steel Oyster case has engraved Units per Hour scale, plastic crystal and Rolex Triplock crown and screw down chronograph pushers. Lugs are fat and with original bevels. Case measures 40mm diameter by 13mm thick.
Original untouched grey dial with black subdials and orange highlights. The orange highlights make such a sporty impression. This is one of the all-time great chronograph dials. Date is in window at 6 o’clock. Dial and original hands are in perfect condition.
Original manual winding Caliber 234 with 17 jewels and self-compensating balance spring. Movement is clean and running.
Rolex riveted Oyster bracelet.
This 1976 watch has original box and papers and is in mint unpolished original condition. Papers are dated December 17, 1976.
