Description
Pro Hunter was the first company to popularize blackened Rolex watches. Just as the Rolex Submariner is a purpose built tool watch, the idea behind Pro Hunter watches was equally utilitarian. The Pro Hunter concept grew out of the needs of hunters who wanted to wear a Rolex but have the watch be absolutely non-reflective. Pro Hunter says they are to Rolex what AMG is to Mercedes.
Pro Hunter only made 100 Submariner Date watches and this specific watch is a special order, no easy feat, with the word SUBMARINER in green versus the usual red.
This is the Rolex Submariner Date with Rolex model number 116610 which is the current version of the Submariner. Pro Hunter has blackened the case using state of the art DLC technology. Size is a robust 40mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Unidirectional diver’s count-up timing bezel with enamel bezel, sapphire crystal, screw down crown… The ultimate diver’s watch and water resistant to 1,000 meters. Pro Hunter engraves the case back with “PRO HUNTER SUB” and their own limited edition serial number (in this case 8X).
Dial is the original Rolex Submariner dial but modified with the line PRO HUNTER and the green “SUBMARINER”.
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 3135 with 31 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, with Parachrom Breguet spring and other Rolex advancements. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex Oyster bracelet with flip-lock clasp. Being a new random serial number Submariner, this watch has the newest Rolex clasp, which is a huge improvement over previous versions.
