Description
The Daytona model 6262 replaced the 6239, which was the first Daytona. The movement was significantly upgraded with the Caliber 727, which beats at 21,600 versus 18,000 vibrations per hour thereby improving timekeeping. This 6262 has a silver dial with tropical (brown) subdials, which is very collectable and attractive.
Original stainless steel case has serial number 2553XXX which dates the watch to 1970. The 6262 was only produced in 1970, making it a rare model. Case measures 37mm diameter by 13.5mm thick. Plastic crystal. Original screw down crown and round pump-style chronograph pushers all work perfectly.
Original untouched silver dial with gorgeous tropical (brown) subdials. Applied hour markers and original hands.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted in 3 positions. Caliber features column wheel construction. Movement is clean and running.
Strap is new pebbled brown leather with Rolex buckle.
