Here is a grail Submariner: Big Crown model 6538 with original and deeply brown Tropical gilt rail chapter dial. Untouched dial retains some of the original black hue, with a strong brown coloration and emergent gold in spots.
Original stainless steel case is 38.5mm diameter by 15.5mm thick. Original bezel turns as it should. Original large Brevet signed screw down crown operates perfectly. Domed plastic crystal. Case back shows date code of II.59 and ‘6538’. Considering this is a 56 year old tool watch, the case condition is mint.
