Description
The Patek Philippe reference 2497 was produced from 1951 until 1963. Only 179 2497s were made. It is one of the most rare and collectable Patek wristwatches of all. This watch is in unpolished, 100% original, mint and untouched condition. This is from the first series 2497 production, which is characterized by the dial alternating arabic numerals and dot markers and feuille hands.
Original never-polished 18k gold case in mint condition, with large domed bezel, acrylic crystal, stepped lugs which are perfectly crisp and undiminished by polishing, and snap-on case back. Dimensions are 37.5mm diameter by 12mm thick.
Original untouched silver dial with applied golden Arabic numerals and dot markers, apertures for day and month, moonphase display at 6 o’clock with date scale around it, and minutes and seconds chapter at dial periphery. Gorgeous original golden feuille hands and the rare and sweet blued center seconds hand. Dial and hands are in perfect condition.
Original manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 27 SC Q with 18 jewels and balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions.
