Description
The Patek Philippe reference 2497 was produced from 1952 until 1963. Only 179 2497s were made. It is among the rarest and most collectable Patek wristwatches of all, as well as being the first Patek perpetual calendar to have center seconds. This watch is in unpolished, 100% original, mint+ untouched condition. You will never find a better 2497 than this one.
Exceptionally well preserved original 18k gold case has large domed bezel, acrylic crystal, perfectly crisp and undiminished stepped lugs, and snap-on case back. Dimensions are 37.5mm diameter by 12mm thick.
Original untouched silver dial with applied golden indices, apertures for day and month, moonphase display at 6 o’clock with date scale around it, and minutes and seconds chapter at dial periphery. Gorgeous original golden dauphine hands and the rare and sweet blued center seconds hand. Dial and hands are in perfect condition.
Original manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 27 SC Q with 18 jewels and balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions.
