Vintage watches can get a lot more expensive than this watch, but not rarer! This never polished 18k Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date is as crisp and clean as the day it left Rolex in 1964. And the dial… the dial is magnificently pristine and extremely rare.
Original unpolished 18k gold case with perfect condition original fluted bezel, plastic crystal and screw down crown. It is such a treat to find a never polished watch, as you get to see what a 51 year old watch looked like when it was new. Serial number 1085XXX dates watch to 1964.
Original untouched glossy black dial would be rare all by itself. The fact that it is signed ROLEX and SERPICO Y LAINO and in gilt print no less, makes this dial and this watch fantastically rare. Dial and original hands, like the rest of the watch, are in pristine condition.
Original automatic winding, chronometer certified Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is immaculate and running.
