Description
Setting the bar, by far, for all other firms who customize Rolex watches, Bamford Watch Department are at the vanguard in terms of the quality and tastefulness of their work, as well as their cutting edge designs.
This watch is a Special Edition collaboration piece with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. Shinoda is not just a singer with a love of watches, he is also an Art Center College of Design graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. This watch in all matte black with his skull from his Glorious Excess art project, is new with box and papers.
Rolex 116520 steel case with Bamford’s state of the art MGTC treatment (military grade titanium coating) which renders the case and bracelet matte black, with a finish made to endure the many stresses that watches come under. Case is 40mm diameter with sapphire crystal, screw down chrono pushers and crown and Rolex Oyster bracelet. Case back has special engraving.
Dial is dark matte gray with Shinoda’s skull, and reduced text that reads, simply, ROLEX CHRONOGRAPH DAYTONA. Subdials display running seconds, chronograph 30 minute and 12 hour totalizers.
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 4130. Rolex designed and built this caliber as the best chronograph movement that could be manufactured. They concentrated on technical excellence (long lubrication life, long service intervals and minimizing friction), timekeeping excellence (C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer) and serviceability (the watchmakers can service and/or repair the caliber easily).
