Tantalum is dark grey with definite hints of blue. Tantalum is a precious metal with qualities that make it a great, but very rare, choice for a watch case. Specifically, tantalum is highly resistant to corrosion. Being a precious metal, the cost of tantalum is high. Tantalum is also very dense, meaning it has a pleasing heft like a gold watch.
