Description
Here is an exceptionally nice looking vintage Tudor Prince Oysterdate Submariner with crisp steel case and “snowflake” dial and hands. The Rolex Submariner is the ultimate diver’s watch, of course. Rolex made Tudor watches during this period and the case back is signed “ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA” with the Rolex crown also engraved. The screw down crown is also signed Rolex.
This watch has original bezel with great looking original faded to gray “ghost” bezel. Case is very sharp and clean. Domed plastic crystal. Screw down case back. Screw down crown. Water resistant to 200 meters. Case is 40mm diameter by 13.8mm thick. Serial number 762XXX dates production to 1970 and is supported by the ‘IV.70’ date code on the inside of the case back.
Black dial with even patina throughout with original hands and date at 3 o’clock.
Automatic winding Tudor 17 jewel movement, which was serviced in December 2015.
