Description
Cartier bought the Roger Dubuis watch brand specifically to own and use the production of their elite watchmaking ateliers. It was a great plan, as the Cartier watch brand has been transformed from a jewelry and style brand to an elite watch manufacture.
The Cartier Rotonde de Cartier watch presented here is an example of the watches that the modern Cartier watch brand is producing. This platinum watch is a limited edition of 50 pieces (long sold out at the Cartier Boutiques) with Tourbillon and Monopulsante Chronograph complications. The crown with its sapphire cabochon is the chronograph pusher.
Case is massive at 45mm diameter by 15.7mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals.
Dial features Cartier’s classic Roman numerals, along with cut-away to display the tourbillon. Two subdials for running seconds and chronograph totalizer.
Movement is Cartier Caliber 9431 with 25 jewels and one minute tourbillon.
Strap is green Cartier crocodile with platinum deployment clasp.
