Description
Here is a special treat for vintage Submariner collectors. It is believed that only 10 of these red depth rating 6536 Submariners exist. Obviously, after 60 years, most of those 10 no longer exist.
Original no crown guards steel case is 38mm diameter by 13mm thick. Original bezel with original insert, turns in both directions as it should and with the correct amount of resistance. Domed plastic crystal. Considering that in 1955, only actual divers wore Submariners, this watch is in amazing condition. Model number is engraved as ‘6536 1’ and serial number 112XXX dates watch to 1955. Inside case back is also engraved 6536-1 and with date code IV.55 and ‘18’.
Original untouched black dial with gilt print and railtrack minutes/seconds chapter. The red ‘100/330’ depth rating demands that you stare at it, relishing that you are looking at one of the vintage Rolex world’s Holy Grails! Original hands as well.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1030 with 25 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. Movement is clean and running.
New rustic suede strap with steel Rolex buckle.
