Description
The reference 565 is a collector’s favorite. It only takes one look to understand why. Production was in steel or 18k, with steel being the more precious metal when it comes to vintage Patek watches. This is the kind of watch that you expect only to see in collector’s books and never in your hands and on your wrist…
Steel case has original finish and is in mint condition. The 565 is an early Patek screw back case, which was Patek’s successful approach to making a watch water proof. Case is two-piece construction with 35mm diameter by 10mm thick.
Silver dial with applied Breguet numerals and embossed minutes minutes chapter at the periphery, subsidiary seconds and original feuille hands.
Patek Philippe manual winding Caliber 12 120 with 18 jewels, blued Breguet balance spring and swan-neck regulator. Movement is protected by the screw back and is clean and running.
Unworn leather strap with steel buckle. Watch is very rare, very collectable and a joy to wear. Extract from the Archives dates production to 1951.
