Description
Here is a phenomenal vintage Longines chronograph model 23086 with never-polished 40mm steel case from circa 1945. The condition is amazing. This format with the center minutes chronograph counter is highly unusual. This vintage aviator’s chronograph is a vintage treasure!
Unpolished stainless steel case is 40mm with screw back and pump-style chronograph pushers. Domed acrylic crystal. Model number 23086 is engraved on the outside surface of the case back along with the 11X serial number.
Original untouched and perfect condition silver dial with large (no longer) luminous arabic numbers, scales for minutes and 1/5ths of a second, large original blued hands in perfect condition, two subdials for running seconds and chronograph 12 hour totalizer and two center-mounted chronograph hands: blue hand for seconds and the red hand is the minutes counter.
Original and pristine Longines Caliber 13ZN chronograph movement with 17 jewels and column wheel construction. The 13ZN chronograph movement is one of the most collectable and desirable movements of all time from any manufacturer.
