Description
It’s not every day that I get excited about a pocket watch, but this magnificent watch makes a worthy exception. Everything about this watch is special. From the never polished 18k white gold case with diamond bezel and yellow gold open work movement, to the classical blued sword hands to the personalized inscription on the back noting the year 1973 in roman numerals.
Case is 47mm and the movement is masterfully skeletonized. Having a skeletonized or “open works” pocket watch is remarkable, as compared to a wristwatch, because the movement is larger and you can watch the movement and all of its normally hidden intricacies. The ticking is quite audible, which is great.
I’m not sure what else to write, except to say that this is a remarkable and rare watch from one of the top Swiss houses. Condition is as new.
