Description

Here is an incredibly rare and exciting example of a steel Patek Philippe 1463 Chronograph. The reference 1463 was the first waterproof chronograph made by Patek and the immediate forerunner to today’s reference 5070. Very few 1463’s were made in steel and this is an exceptionally collectable timepiece at its best.

Original stainless steel case measures 35mm in diameter, but almost feels a bit larger due to its thin, flat bezel. The edges are profoundly crisp and the case features beautiful downward shaped lugs. Caseback is screw-down, unlike snap-backs that were most common for this era.  Present are the round push button chrono pushers and large crown.

The impressive silver dial features a full set of Breguet numerals. Outer ring with tachymetre scale and subdials at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions.

Movement for this watch is the original manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 13-130, which was based off of the Valjoux 23.

This watch is sure to capture both the hearts and minds any serious collector.  To add to the rarity, this watch comes complete with box and original papers.
