The Rolex reference 1500 Date is an excellent watch to wear on the daily. This example in steel is in superb condition and 100% original.
The stainless steel case measures 35mm in diameter and is approx 12mm thick. The case has a screw-down crown and the crystal is acrylic. Case condition is terrific. Serial number 1335XXX dates the production of this watch to 1966.
Original black double “T” Swiss dial with applied hour markers and date window at the 3 o’clock. The seconds hand shows beautiful patina and all lumes are perfectly intact.
Movement for this watch is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels. This is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. The Rolex Calibers 1570 (with date) and 1520 (no date) are arguably the best-ever mass produced automatic winding calibers.
Watch is fitted on a black leather Bund strap.
