Here is an excellent condition and all original Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date reference 1500 in steel. Released in 1962, the watch is incredibly durable and houses an antimagnetic case and movement.
The stainless steel case measures 35mm in diameter and is approx 12mm thick. The case has a screw-down crown and the crystal is acrylic. Case condition is excellent.
Original dial is a cream color and is extremely versatile. Applied hour markers with blued steel seconds hand. The hour and minute hands as well as some of the hour markers show beautiful signs of patina to them.
Movement for this watch is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels. This is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. The Rolex Calibers 1570 (with date) and 1520 (no date) are arguably the best-ever mass produced automatic winding calibers.
Watch is on a new high quality taupe leather strap with Rolex buckle.
