The Rolex Submariner is THE dive watch and a Rolex best seller. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, if you had to choose just one watch for the rest of your life, it would be a Rolex Submariner. It’s an incredible daily watch and can withstand whatever it may have to endure. Additionally, it will continue to grow in value.
Stainless steel Oyster case measures 40mm diameter. Crystal is sapphire. The watch features a Screw-down crown to prevent against any water intrusion. The case is water resistant to 1000 feet/300 meters. Bracelet is original stainless steel Rolex Oyster with flip-lock clasp. This watch’s bezel has changed in color and has taken on a beautiful “Coltrane” blue to it, especially noticeable in natural light.
Dial is black with applied luminous hour markers and hands. The hour markers have also taken on a slight and very even patina, almost a cream color. Date display is at the 3 o'clock.
Movement for this watch is the Rolex automatic winding Caliber 3135 with 31 jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified chronometer.
This watch comes complete with original box and papers. Circa 1990.
