There’s just something special about owning a vintage Rolex watch. Rare GMT’s like this one with brown dials were produced in much smaller numbers than those with black dials. Case is in original and unaltered condition.
18k gold case with thick lugs and original bidirectional bezel with crisp serrations. Crystal on this watch is plastic. Case features a screw-down crown and is water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet. Serial number 5221XXX dates the watch’s production to 1978.
Original untouched brown dial, which is slowly changing in color to a gorgeous warm purple-brown. The dial features applied pyramid hour markers known as a “nipple” dial. Date window at 3 o’clock.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. Movement is clean, running well and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
This watch is absolutely looking its best on a Rolex 18k gold presidential bracelet. In excellent condition with original Rolex box.
