I’m at a complete loss for words with this incredible Rolex reference 1680 Red Submariner. Flawless tropical dial with an even patina on the hour markers and hands. The bezel has turned a wonderful blue in color. Time has made this watch absolutely spectacular and to add to the excitement, it’s in pristine condition.
Original stainless steel case measures 40mm in diameter and is approx 15mm thick. Original plastic crystal with Cyclops lens over the date window. Screw-down crown operates as it should to prevent against any water intrusion. Serial number 2771XXX dates the production of this watch to 1968.
Original untouched tropical brown dial is in mint condition. The markers and hands present a pleasant patina. Date window featured at 3 o’clock.
Movement for this watch is the original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels, adjusted to temperature and 5 positions. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
This watch is in marvelous condition and ready to go into the collection of the most discerning collector.
