Just looking at this watch puts the biggest smile on my face and gets me going. There really is something incredibly special about a18k gold vintage Rolex Cosmograph Also, vintage 18k Rolex Daytona watches are RARE. As the years go by, there are practically none appearing on the market and for good reason.
Original and unpolished case is solid 18k gold and measures 37mm diameter by 13.9mm thick. Engraved “Units per Hour” bezel with scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’ has its original sharp edge. Screw down crown and round pump style chronograph pushers are all working perfectly and the crystal is domed plastic. Case is in mint+ original condition with fat and uniform lugs. Serial number 8144XXX dates production to 1983.
Original untouched black dial with applied golden hour markers and contrasting gold color subdials. The hands are all original. Dial is in mint condition.
Movement for this watch is the original manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to 3 positions. Caliber features column wheel construction and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Watch is fitted on a brown crocodile leather strap. This Rolex Cosmograph is absolute immaculate condition and a true treasure for any serious collector.
