Description
Here is an all-original, rare and collectable vintage Rolex Bubble Back from the mid-1940s with untouched dial with short seconds hand (due to central minutes and seconds chapter). Great looking watch and affordable.
Original stainless steel case with dimensions of 32mm diameter by 14mm thick. Smooth steel bezel, half-hooded lugs, bombe plastic crystal and screw-down crown signed ROLEX OYSTER which is functioning perfectly. Screw-on steel case back with ‘2940’ engraved as model number. Serial number 403XXX dates production to the mid 1940s.
Original untouched two-tone silver dial with applied ‘12’, ‘3’, ‘6’ and ‘9’ and dots for the other hours. Original hands including the short blued seconds hand which references seconds along the inner 5ths of a second chapter ring.
Original automatic winding Rolex caliber with 19 jewels, self-compensating balance spring and Super balance. Movement is pristine and running and keeping good time.
New brown alligator strap with steel buckle.
